Affected vehicles: 2004-2006 Chevrolet Silverado, Suburban, Avalanche;
2004-2006 GMC Sierra, Yukon XL; 2006 Chevrolet Kodiac; 2006 GMC Topkick
equipped with 8.1L (L18) engine
Situation: Certain affected vehicles have a condition in which the engine
fuel rail pulse damper retainer clip may fracture, resulting in inadequate
retention of the damper. If the damper comes loose, a fuel leak may result
and may cause a fire if an ignition source is present.
