Ringing in the New (Model) Year!

By Elisa Durand, November 4th, 2011 @ 7:02 pm

When writing these blog posts, I usually like to cite the Automotive Fleet website as a reference for my topic, since most of us in the fleet industry turn to Bobit Media for the latest and greatest.

While perusing the front page, I noticed how many articles are devoted to new versions of existing models (Chevrolet Colorado), new hybrid offerings (Prius V), new electric option (Ford Focus Electric), newly available in the U.S. (Ford Transit), and the list goes on.

This observation was indeed confirmed by AF’s report that the Los Angeles Auto Show will debut more than 50 new or redesigned vehicles. Even more exciting, more than 20 vehicles on display are capable of more than 40 miles per gallon.

In light of these new offerings, and possibility for increased fuel efficiency, are you considering changing your vehicle selector? How do you determine which new vehicle options will meet your drivers’ needs? Do you have a fleet management company that assists in this process? We want to hear from you!
