Fleet Supply Chain Management

Our manufacturing experts can help you design your fleet vehicle specifications.

Ensuring you have the right vehicles for the job while coordinating all of the steps in the procurement process.

Fully Powered

ARI offers robust supply chain services ranging from strategic consulting to turnkey acquisition and tactical guidance and support.

We can manage the entire supply chain process by soliciting bids from manufacturers and upfitters, monitoring vehicles as they are built, and ensuring they’re delivered to you fully-licensed and ready to work. Or, we can work with you and your preferred or designated suppliers at any point in the process.

We fulfill our customers’ vehicle procurement needs in the most efficient manner while managing costs throughout the entire acquisition process, so you can focus on strategy and the big picture.

Strategic Planning

Beginning with a review of your current fleet, ARI analyzes operating conditions, annual mileage, maintenance programs and other variables to ensure we choose the best unit at the lowest cost per mile. Using our Vehicle Replacement Analysis Model (VRAM) and millions of lines of empirical data, ARI develops replacement guidelines based on life cycle costs and downtime minimization.

Competitive Bidding

The following steps in the supply chain management process can be sent out for competitive bidding:

  • Chassis
  • Upfitting services
  • Upfit equipment components
  • Delivery transportation

Or if you choose, ARI can work with your preferred or designated suppliers.

Acquisition

With a strategic supply chain plan in place, vehicle specifications can be created that identify the proper chassis and up-fitting for each job function. The specifications are integrated into ARI’s own secure, web-based vehicle pricing and ordering system, enabling authorized users to order even the most complex truck and equipment specifications online. All orders are reviewed by our truck and equipment order specialists before being released to the manufacturer.

Supply Chain Execution
and Management

ARI receives automated daily electronic feeds from all major manufacturers and status information electronically from most body and equipment upfitters and transport companies. Additionally, weekly supply chain coordination calls are held with vendors and manufacturers to proactively identify any potential disruptions to the supply chain.

Delivery of
Road Ready Vehicles

ARI will arrange ship-to or ship-thru delivery according to the supply chain strategy of your choice. The ARI network of delivering dealers includes more than 9,000 dealers nationwide, allowing for most deliveries to be within 35 miles of the specified address. ARI administers all activities related to the initial registration, licensing and titling of new vehicles, ensuring that vehicles are delivered to our clients fully licensed, inspected and ready to drive.

Status Around The Clock

Our web-based ARI insights® system provides your fleet personnel with access to continual status updates for all vehicles throughout the supply chain. In addition, client-specific status reporting can be provided, and calls can be scheduled with fleet managers/personnel for a more interactive experience. System users can customize their main page or “dashboard” to view alerts on supply chain exceptions, as well as Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for supply chain performance.
