Another source of TCO savings
Our licensing and compliance service offering, the industry’s most comprehensive, fits every known scenario for fleets of every size and level of complexity, in any business or industry, anywhere in the world.
ARI keeps drivers safe and vehicles on the road with a single-source solution customized to fit each company and its fleet. By strict compliance with licensing regulations, we mitigate our customers’ exposure to risk, prevent downtime and financial loss, and help create long-term fleet savings.
We do everything a motor vehicle agency does, including IFTA/IRP and DOT compliance, licensing, permitting, new registration and renewal, title procurement and project management. We work with clients to understand requirements and then work for clients to ensure compliance everywhere the fleet operates. All work is done in-house at ARI with no missed filings, fines or unnecessary fees.
We have licensing professionals accredited among all state agencies that offer such programs. This enables us to complete the work faster and more accurately, distribute plates and registrations directly to our clients, and lower lifecycle costs by speeding up a very labor-intensive process.
An ability to meet really tight deadlines
In a huge undertaking due to our client’s purchase of another company, ARI renewed the licensing of its newly-acquired light-to-medium-duty tractor trailers—more than 13,000—within a tight 30-day window. In a classic case of bad timing, the IRP account for these vehicles was due to expire within 30 days, requiring a non-refundable payment of $2.5 million. To complicate matters more, the client was about to be hit with another $2.5 million renewal bill when titles were transferred and new IRP plates issued. By meeting the deadlline, we saved the client from paying twice and from having to idle the entire fleet until all licensing was completed.
Negotiating for our client cuts costs
One customer with a fleet of 650 corporate limousines operates under a special buy-back agreement with the manufacturer. Based on a limited mileage stipulation, limos are returned within six months, so the registration and permit process is in constant rotation. ARI lowered this client’s costs through negotiations with the appropriate motor vehicle agencies to allow transfer of registrations within a 12-month period, generating savings of $40 per vehicle. We also negotiated with a city that requires permits for these vehicles, for a savings of $75 per vehicle. Overall, our client saves $55,000 annually through our Renewal Management program.
