Streamlining a new client’s transition
ARI clients have full access to the most advanced information technology. As part of a new client’s start-up activities, we used our web-based ARI insights system to transition its fleet from two other vendors and many decentralized company locations. After decoding and correcting more than 200 serial number errors and more than 600 year-make-and-model data errors, we created and coded a fleet database that eliminated future errors, streamlined the reporting process and met strict internal requirements of the client’s accounting staff. The benefit: using ARI’s web-based system, client locations can now access fleet data directly and manage the vehicles assigned to them, without the danger of taking fleet data off in different directions.
Success above and beyond a client’s goal
Following a series of acquisitions, a cement company fleet expanded to 900 owned and rented vehicles at various sites. ARI was asked for help in setting up a single database to better manage the operation of this decentralized fleet and hard-to-keep-up-with DOT regulations. ARI insights enabled our team to consolidate all fleet information, licensing processes and streamline the workflow at the company’s different locations. Then, in just one working day, we accomplished a transfer of ownership mandated by the closing of the client’s latest acquisition. The company was able to procure new plates and registration without taking one unit off the road. By better managing fleet information and activities, we prevented vehicle downtime, maintained the goodwill of customers and produced client savings of more than $60,000.
