ARI Honored by the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey
ARI was honored and recognized as a United Way Advocate for its long-term commitment to the organization and for its support of and participation in the 2012-13 Live United Campaign. At a celebration held May 1 at Café Aldo Lambertti’s in Cherry Hill, ARI joined other honorees and special guests to recognize those volunteers and corporations who have joined with the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey (UWGPNJ) in support of its goal to drive measureable, lasting impact across the region in the areas of education, income and health. Together with its parent company, Holman Automotive, ARI pledged more than $1.3 million as part of the 2012-13 Live United Campaign. You can read more about the May 1 event on UWGPNJ’s blog and see event more photos on UWGPNJ’s Flickr page.
ARI has long-been committed to supporting the work of the United Way, donating time to the organization through “Days of Caring” and actively supporting the annual Live United campaign. ARI led the way in 2011, making history as the first organization to contribute more than $1 million as part of the annual campaign. Melinda “Mindy” K. Holman, the president and Chief Executive Officer of Holman Automotive, serves as a trustee for UWGPNJ and was co-chair of the group that helped merge seven different regional United Way offices into the UWGPNJ in 2012.
