Ghosh emphasized that it is critical not to rush the production process. Fleet managers should conduct weekly or bi-weekly meetings with suppliers to review the needs and business goals of the fleet. After an initial spec review, fleet managers should start a pilot program with a small percentage of vehicles so vendors, clients and employee operators can come together to identify issues before ordering an entire fleet of new vehicles.
