ARI’s Tony Candeloro Discusses Autonomous Vehicle Technology and its Impact to Fleets
In a recent article published in Fleet Financials Magazine, Commercial Fleets Hesitant to Dive Headfirst into Autonomy, ARI’s Tony Candeloro, senior vice president of technology & operations, discusses how autonomous vehicles still have a long way to go before reaching the driverless level for fleets.
Moving from vehicles that provide assistance, to those that make decisions for the driver, presents major problems. “Rather than a dramatic shift, I think fleets will come on board as technology advances over time. Plus federal, state and government entities will need to adjust the laws to accommodate fully autonomous vehicles,” said Candeloro.
