Redefining Executive Fleet Management

According to a recent article by Automotive Fleet, trends in executive fleet management are shifting towards a more conservative approach, enforcing more stringent policies and restricting some vehicle types. While luxury cars are still used as a recruitment and retention tool for executives, what defines an executive fleet and who qualifies for a vehicle has changed.

ARI Department Head of Account Management Joe Perno shared ARI’s own experience with executive fleets, “We are primarily seeing that the company is setting a specific cap cost (max cap) per the executive’s level. If the driver goes over that cap cost, this is allowed by policy, but the additional expense is the personal responsibility of the driver.”

Once the executive gets behind the wheel of their new vehicle, the next step for fleets is to improve safety and mitigate risk. Download our free white paper Identifying and Correcting Poor Driver Behavior to learn more.
