Smart Global Fleet Management

In a recent interview conducted by Automotive Digest, Jim Creighton, ARI’s vice president of global strategic services, offers his advice to fleet managers just taking over global responsibilities.  Creighton recommends tapping into as many resources as possible, be it periodicals, websites, the fleet management providers, or consulting companies.  Creighton said, “Be a sponge, try to absorb as much as possible and have an open mind. Try not to dictate policy too much – instead, set a policy, but be aware that you may need to adjust that policy based on a country’s regulations or regional norms. Most of all, adopt a learning environment in your mind – constantly be learning, so that you can bring that learning to bear on how you operate your fleet.”
