The Coca-Cola Company, PepsiCo, Dr Pepper Snapple Group and others in the beverage industry have partnered with the American Beverage Association to share fleet data on fuel consumption and fuel efficiency. Their objective is to increase reporting and transparency on fleet sustainability to help advance the development of technologies, alternative fuels and practices that will lead to a cleaner environment. Results to date show improved fuel economy industry-wide in North America by nearly 13 percent since 2010.
Members of the beverage industry are also working with regional and national organizations to promote the use of alternative fuel vehicles and help fleets achieve lower fuel costs.
