ARI President Bob White Shares His Perspective on the Impact of COVID-19

When things are far from business as usual, it is important to remember that we’re all navigating these unprecedented times together. Our teams, our companies, and the industry as a whole will need to work harmoniously together to overcome the challenging road ahead. And with information changing every day around how COVID-19 is impacting our industry, timely, transparent communication is more important than ever.

Recently, ARI President Bob White spoke with Automotive Fleet to share how ARI is adjusting to ensure uninterrupted support for our customers while also safeguarding our personnel as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to rapidly evolve. In the first article, Bob offers his perspective on the truly global effort that lies ahead. “Above all else, and I cannot stress this enough, we are all in this together. Our team of fleet professionals remain available to help our customers navigate the road ahead and we hope that you and your loved ones remain safe and healthy during this challenging time.”

In a follow-up article, Bob goes on to highlight ARI’s COVID-19 resource center which features the latest information from ARI and other major fleet suppliers from the industry. Additionally, he offers some practical advice for fleet personnel to help ensure their safety and well-being during the pandemic.

“In terms of prevention and safety tips for fleet personnel, it goes without saying everyone should adhere to the guidelines published by the World Health Organization and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Additionally, fleet personnel should also obey any restrictions or guidelines – such as shelter in place mandates and social distancing recommendations – currently in place for the region in which they operate. Beyond that, we’re strongly encouraging drivers to take additional precautions to further limit the spread of the COVID-19,” said Bob.
